Makena's Christmas...

Makena's favorite present, go figure, was actually one of Nanea's, a small suitcase that we intended for her to use as a carry-on for the airplane. The minute Nanea opened it (and loved it), Makena instantly stopped what she was doing and walked over to the suitcase. A scuffle ensued, and the big sister won. The hilarious thing is that they both went about opening gifts, and the second Nanea dropped the suitcase, Makena RAN to it and claimed it as her own. We ended up talking Nanea into a princess suitcase that Tutu had gotten her. She was reluctant to give it up, if only because it was to her sister, but said "well, I DO like princesses the best..." so, Makena got a suitcase too.

Makena's first trip to Disneyland

a little lunch

on the carousel

on the Winnie the Pooh ride...this is how Makena was on most rides. No emotion, just complete sensory-overload!

At the malls in California...

there are double decker (and single) stroller-type contraptions to rent. Not to mention playgrounds and double-decker carousels. Talk about a great way to occupy your kids while shopping, and to bribe them to go in the first place!
