Makena

For those of you that know her, everything about this photo epitomizes who Makena is. Lisa really captured her in this picture. Serious, contemplative, always thinking and processing.

What a difference a year makes!

Last year we had a hard time getting great photos of Makena for our family photo shoot. She was a mere 5 months old, so could not sit up on her own, and was definitely not a smile-y baby. We only got a few good ones of her, while we had dozens and dozens of Nanea. This year was the complete opposite. Nanea was in no mood for pictures, so there are very few great ones of her. In contrast, out of approx. 130 photos, about 75% were fabulous Makena pics. Here are some of my favorites:
