3 weeks old (almost)

I'm a bit behind in posting the stats from Makena's 2 week check-up, but then again, we didn't go until Monday when she was technically 2 and a half weeks old, so I'm not too behind. Since her initial appointment when she was 4 days old, she has gained 1.3 pounds and grown 1.5 inches since birth. She is 8.3 pounds and 21.5 inches tall. That puts her in the 90th percentile for height and 50th for weight. Her head is in the 10th percentile, so on the small side compared to the "average." So different from Nanea who was always in the 90th for her head size. She has a big head. In fact, that was one of the first comments made by my ob/gyn WHILE I was delivering, "big head..." I checked Nanea's stats from the same age, and they are almost identical with the exception of the head. Makena is 1 ounce heavier and .5 inches taller, but her head is 2.5 cm smaller than Nanea. Very interesting! Here are some pictures taken this afternoon:

there's definitely no mistaking either sister for each other. if my old memory serves me right, makena looks very little like nanea even tho' the stats are similar. wow!

Gosh, I think Makena looks a lot like Nanea! Okay, this is making me want to post about my Kanoa. They are visiting tomorrow so hopefully I can get some pics taken. They are only 8 days apart! Hmmm...betrothal?
