Big sister

This is actually how Nanea refers to Makena most of the time, confusing her role with "baby" sister.  I think this is the first time she has held her since she came home from the hospital, but she's been asking all day so here we are after dinner, holding "big" sister.  Makena loves Nanea, and smiled and talked at her the entire time.  Except of course when the camera was in her face.  When the camera comes out, she immediately STOPS smiling.  Anticipating the flash I think.

ok, from these angles the girls look alot like noa. it's those "blanket" looks he had when he was little. is that blanket still around?

oh, so sweet. i think i traumatized the poor thing, taking so many photos when she was brand new. I miss them. give them big kisses for me. :)

Nanea is such a wonderful sister to Makena! It's so sweet to watch her give her kisses. We love you! Aunty Sonia and Uncle Liko

Nanea looks so grown up holding "big" sister. It reminds me of when Kala'i and Kika were little. I can't believe Kala'i was under 2 when Kika was born!

they are entirely too sweet together. they do both look like noa, but i can't believe how different makena looks from nanea. nanea looks like such a big KID. wow. can't wait to see the two of them in january!

Haha when I first came down with Kaylei she kept telling me that she was my little sister. When i tried to tell her that I'm Kaylei's mommy she would tell me no thats your sister your not her mommy.. so she finally got fed up and just called her my baby
